Welcome back to the Autumn term which has lots of exciting activities planned We will be saying good luck to our older Beavers who are transferring to Cubs and welcome new Beavers to the Colony as well as appointing some new lodge leaders. We will finish the term on Tuesday 11th December with a Xmas Party and will not meet during the half term on Tuesday 23rd October.
District Disability Awareness Badge Saturday 6th October between 10am and 12.30pm
The full details were sent out recently via OSM. Please confirm via the OSM link whether or not you are able to attend. The cost of this will be fully subsidised by the Group.
District Explore Badge in Bushy Park Saturday 10am until 12noon 3rd November.
All Beavers are invited to 3rd Hampton Hill for the District Explore Badge. As the name of the badge suggests we will explore part of Bushy Park. it is always a fun event. Full details will be sent out via OSM soon.
Summer Holiday Badges
Every Beaver received a badge sheet that Beavers may like to try during their Summer Holidays. Please encourage them to bring down what they completed and we will be able to discuss and award the badges.
2nd Mortlake 200 Club
The Group has for 45 years had a 200 club. Half of the monies raised are returned to Group funds and the other half paid in prizes. Members can purchase as many numbers as they would like at a cost of £10.40pa. I am attaching our joining form as following renewals we have 20 of the 200 numbers unallocated. Please consider supporting us and return the form to Keith as soon as possible.

Please take a look the photo is now on display. We have copies available as usual at £5 each to raise funds. They will be available for the next couple of weeks
District Beaver Fun Day at Walton Firs Activity Centre Saturday September 22nd 11am until 5pm.
Please ensure the permission form has been returned if your Beaver is attending.
Remembrance Sunday 11th November.
Please put this important date in your diaries it is particularly poignant as it marks 100 years since the first armistice, and this years parade is to be held on Sunday 11th November. Our Group will respectively play its usual role in the annual event. We will meet at Sheen Lane Medical Centre car park at 10.30am with dismissal at 11.30am in full Beaver Uniform. Poppies will be available for those without. Please confirm attendance once your OSM link is received.
Waitrose Bag packing Saturday 8th December
We have been lucky to be invited to continue our annual fund raising bag packing at Waitrose East Sheen. All Beavers, Cubs and Scouts will be able to assist on the day.
Barnes Jumble Sale 5th and 6th October
The Scout Group has a regular fundraising event each year in support of the Barnes Community Association Grand Jumble Sale. We will be providing support and running a stall, and so really need the help of parents on Friday evening 5th October and Saturday 6th October. to sort and staff our allotted stall. If you can support, please confirm to me as soon as possible. The BCA will make a donation to our Group funds for our support.
2nd Mortlake Centenary Celebrations 2019
Please keep the dates free for our Centenary celebrations on June 11th 2019 and the Centenary Family Camp at Walton Firs on the late Spring bank Holiday(May 2019). Please help us make this event a momentous one that will be remembered for years to come!
